Another must-visit beach is Emma Woods State Beach featuring crumbling ruins of a World War II coastal artillery site—there are two circular concrete structures that are gun mounts left from that era. You can also get in touch with nature by heading to Ventura Botanical Gardens, where 107 acres of greenery house 160 species of plants.
